The Federation of Hospital Doctors of Greece (O.E.N.G.E.) decided a three-day strike which will disrupt the health care services provided by state hospitals around the country from September 17 to 19.
In this way, hospital doctors are protesting against the heavy reductions in public spending in the health sector that were imposed to fulfill Greeceās commitments to its international creditors.
The hospital doctors’ strike will take place just a day before the 24-hour strike staged by the civil servantsā union ADEDY, which has characterized next week as a week of strike actions, from September 16 to 20, with a 48-hour strike in the public sector on September 18 and 19.
