TUI Promotes Greek Tourism

TUI_541_355During his visit to Athens, Peter Long stated that by next year TUI Tour Operators will increase the number of visitors to Greece by 300,000, in this way bringing the total number to more than two million tourists.
Speaking to ANA -MPA, the President of the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agencies (ΗΑΤΤΑ) Giorgos Telonis, underlined that such estimates will also tempt other major tour operators to attract more tourism to Greece. As Telonis pointed out, increased tourist arrivals to Greece are also expected because of the turmoil in Egypt.
Telonis said that TUI recognizes the improving climate in Greece and the positive impact this has had on foreign markets. As he said, what still needs to be fixed in Greece is to improve its infrastructure (local tourist facilities) so as to meet the increased tourist traffic of the next period.
During his visit, Long met with the Secretary-General of Greek National Tourism Organization Panos Leivadas and Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni.
