A criminal gang had been trafficking great amounts of drugs in Chania, Crete the last five years, authorities said as they arrested 14 members, one of whom was the head of the gang, give “lieutenants” and eight dealers.
According to the police the operation to root them out lasted three months and culminated in their apprehension on Oct. 2. Police raided at the houses of a 50-year-old man, who had arrested before for drug trade, a 28-year-old man from Chania and of two women from Bulgaria
Authorities said they also seized two electronic precision balances, six mobile phones, a quantity of raw cannabis, total weight, a large cache of money, cigarettes and two motorcycles used to traffic the drugs.
