The Hidden Weapons of Golden Dawn

gdwAfter revelations from witnesses that the neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn has hidden weapons in different regions of Greece, police set out to find if the accusations were true and searched places in Haidari, Aspropirgos and Nemea.
A former Golden Dawn member claimed that they trained in Haidari, in the old army base, during working hours, although police said they would have been noticed by shoot clubs and hikers.
The second witness said that they moved clubs, shields, and flare guns to a warehouse in the region of Aspropyrgos. According to the police  the warehouse is likely in the Ammo Soureza area of Aspropyrgos. There were 10 guarded warehouses owned by companies and six smaller dwelling that could be used for storage, they said.
According to the third witness there were hidden weapon in a monastery in Ancient Kleones, a region in Corinth. The police have searched two abandoned monasteries but didn’t find anything and said they believed the weapons were moved. The police’s report also said that the Golden Dawn tries to reopen its offices in Nemea. The offices shut down in 2012, after the elections, due to non-payment of rent.
