Greek Police Announcement on Golden Dawn Members Shooting

Greek Police announcement regarding the fatal injury of two Greek citizens and the serious injury of another one by unknown perpetrators’ gunfire in Neo Iraklio, Attica.

On Friday evening, November 1st 2013, at around 19.00, four (4) Greek citizens, who were standing on a pavement at Irakliou Avenue, in Neo Irakleio, Attica Region, were shot by an unknown perpetrator.
As a result, two of the men (aged 22 and 27 years old), were fatally injured and a third one (aged 29), was seriously wounded and has been transferred to a State Hospital in critical condition.
As it has emerged, the perpetrator, along with an unknown accomplice, approached the victims on foot, after they had previously got off the motorbike they were riding on, at a place nearby.
The perpetrators got away on the motorbike and an extensive police operation is in full progress for their arrest.
Hellenic Police forces arrived immediately on the scene, along with Hellenic Police Special Agencies Groups, in order to thoroughly investigate the area.
From the crime scene of the double homicide, up to now, twelve (12) 9mm cells have been collected and sent to the Forensic Laboratories for ballistic examination.
The Hellenic Police Chief ordered the preliminary inquiry to be conducted by the Hellenic Police Counter Terrorism Agency.
