Athens Ledra Marriott Quits Greece

ledra_marriottThe multinational corporation, Marriott International, decided to quit the Greek market after 30 years of operation.
While the Greek government is advertising the myth of the “success story” and is talking about foreign investments in our country, the reality is completely different, as even major Greek companies leave the Greek market.
The international hotel chain, Marriot International, announced that from December 31, 2013,  the hotel Athens Ledra Marriot will not function under its name and won’t accept reservations beyond that date.
However, the management of the company left the possibility open of a new agreement in the future. According to the newspaper Kathimerini, the reason of the withdrawal is the failure to reach an agreement on the renewal of the contract, expiring at the end of the year.
The company owner will seek a new partnership for the management of the unit.
