Microsoft Supports Greek Economy

Microsoft_Hellas_The president of Microsoft Central and Eastern Europe, Don Grantham during his meeting with Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, confirmed Microsoft’s commitment to continue supporting the Greek economy and society, thus contributing to the recovery effort of Greece.
Microsoft chairman CEE committed to providing the supplies that will enhance the training of the unemployed in new technologies. This initiative is designed to give positive results for their integration in the labor market. More than 400 IT and Entrepreneurship courses will be provided as 500,000 unemployed will be trained in the next three years through the e-skills program.
Furthermore, the Greek government seems more than pleased, underlining that Microsoft gives a clear vote of confidence in the local market. It is proven through the wide network of associates with 1,900 Greek companies as well as through practical initiatives for Entrepreneurship and Innovation committed by the Innovation Center. It supports over 200 start-ups and more than 2,000 young scientists with new technologies and entrepreneurial advice.
