Deadly Facebook Encounter for Young Greek Girl

On the second day of Christmas a seventeen-year-old girl left the home of family friends where she and her parents had been staying, to meet up with someone she had recently been in contact with on Facebook. Tragically, she was never seen alive again.
The man whom she met invited her into his home in Heliopolis, Athens, where an accomplice was waiting. During the night, the girl lost consciousness and an ambulance was called. She was taken to Asklepieio Voulas general hospital, where doctors found that she had been brutally raped. Investigations by the Greek Police and the coroner have determined that she had been injected with heroine and it is alleged that this was done against her will by the two men, in order to take advantage of her while unconscious.
The seventeen-year-old had recently begun chatting with the unknown man through Facebook, who according to police has previous convictions for drug offences. Both men disappeared after the ambulance was called, however they were later arrested.
The two deny having drugged and raped the girl. The suspect with whom she had struck up the relationship through Facebook, claims that the two were friends and that they have known each other for many years.
