Greek Terrorist May be in Athens or Thessaloniki

Christodoulos Xeros
While Christodoulos Xeros, convicted member of the terrorist organization November 17, is still on the run for the 3rd day, police are pressing his family for clues as to his possible whereabouts.
The Greek police believe that he may have gone to ground in Athens or Thessaloniki. According to his father, Greek Orthodox priest Father Triantafyllos, Christodoulos visited the Kallikrateia police station on Sunday as he was supposed to. He was escorted by a 20-year-old man from Bangladesh, a former cellmate of Savvas Xeros in Korydallos prison, who is now living with the Xeros family in Halkidiki.
His father, Triantafyllos Xeros, said that Christodoulos returned home after reporting to the police and told his mother he was going out for a walk on the beach.
No one has seen him since. Police think that he didn’t escape alone and they are not ruling out help from his inner circle. For this reason they are pressuring his family for information and have cautioned them that anyone found to have helped in the escape could be arrested.
On Tuesday evening his relatives all made statements, including his brother Vasilis Xeros who was also convicted for membership of a terrorist organization, and who currently lives in the city.
It is likely that the November 17 member has been planning his escape for some time. An investigation has been ordered by the judicial authorities, focusing on whether Xeros had been in contact with members of another Greek terrorist organization, Fire Nuclei, who are also in custody in Korydallos Prison
It seems there was a party one night in the prison which lasted until the early morning. Xeros was able to leave his cell in E Wing to attend the party in A Wing, where members of Fire Nuclei are detained.
According to Greek news, Xeros had no trouble moving between the wings, raising serious questions in the Justice Department about security at the prison. The prison warden and guards on duty at the time of the party have been suspended.
