Olympiacos Rebuilds Schools in Cephalonia

osfp8The president of Olympiacos FC, Vangelis Marinakis, who had promised to help earthquake victims in Cephalonia in any way possible, is making his statement a reality. True to his promise, Marinakis, stated that the team will donate 500,000 euros for the reconstruction of four schools that were affected by the earthquake.
Today, the mayor of Cephalonia, Alexandros Parisis, welcomed Christian Karembeu, Strategic Advisor for Olympiacos FC, Head of Olympiacos Academy, Grigoris Georgatos, Communications Director, Kostas Karapapas, Director of Communications Corporate and Corporate Social Responsibility, Vassilis Tokakis and Chief Procurement Officer, Vangelis Messaris.
The football veterans from Olympiacos accompanied the delegation that was sent to the island. They mentioned the importance of their mission and Christian Karembeu said: “We might always be talking about football, but our goal is to use the sport’s influence to offer children a better future.”
Grigoris Georgatos stated: “Marinakis is making a large contribution. As a Cephalonian I am very touched by his actions. He always keeps his promises.”
The mayor Cephalonia, Alexandros Parisis, sent a thank you letter in response to Marinakis’ own letter in which he announced the 500,000 euro donation in order to reconstruct four schools that were greatly affected by the earthquake.
