Opinion Poll: SYRIZA and Giannis Sgouros in the Lead

A Kappa Research opinion poll concerning the upcoming European Parliament election and local elections carried out on behalf of the newspaper “To Vima,” shows SYRIZA and the current Head of the Region of Attica in the lead.
In particular, the opinion poll places the major opposition party first with 20.1 percent; following in second comes New Democracy with 17.6 percent. The Greek neo-Nazi party, Golden Dawn, seems to be stable in third position with 7.2 percent. In fourth stands the Greek Communist Party (KKE) with 6.3 percent. Right behind KKE follows the newly-founded political party To Potami with 5.9 percent.  The Greek coalition party, PASOK is sixth with 4 percent. Right behind PASOK, follow the Independent Greeks Party with 3.5 percent. DIMAR is at just 2.2 percent.
However, the percentage of those who have not yet decided what they are going to vote, reaches 23.4 percent, surely a percentage that can change the balance.
Regarding the candidates for the Head of the region of Attica, Giannis Sgouros leads the race with 23.9 percent.  Rena Dourou follows with 18.6 percent and third comes Giorgos Koumoutsakos with 12.2 percent.
In the second election round, if the two candidates are Giannis Sgouros and Rena Dourou then Giannis Sgouros will be the winner with 41 percent. If the second round brings Giannis Sgouros against Giorgos Koumotsakos, Giannis Sgouros seems to be Attica’s favorite with 42.5 percent.
In the scenario that in the second round the voters are called to choose between Rena Dourou and Giorgos Koumoutsakos, SYRIZA’s candidacy Rena Dourou is in the lead with 38.7 percent.
