Troika Readies 8.3B Euro Greek Release

Euro stack-1With Greece hoping to receive a delayed nine billion euros installment from its international lenders, they are reportedly set to deliver their next share in what remains of two bailouts, some 8.3 billion euros.
The money could come as soon as mid-April, three people familiar with Greece’s negotiations with the Troika of the European Union-International Monetary Fund-European Central Bank (EU-IMF-ECB) said, according to the news agency Bloomberg.
Deputies to finance ministers are due to hold a conference call March 30 ahead of a Eurozone finance chiefs meeting in Athens next week and the ministers could hold a further conference call if needed, two of the officials said.
The IMF is mulling a payment of 3.6 billion euros as its contribution, according to a third official. The IMF said on March 27 that talks are under way without giving any exact figures.
“There’s going to be re-phasing of disbursements to Greece,” IMF spokesman William Murray told reporters in Washington. “I can’t be precise on the exact amount that will be disbursed when this review is completed in May but it will be different than the past review” and “I assume it will be higher.”
In return for the money, Greece will have to meet its pledge to fulfill undone reforms agreed upon after seven months of tough talks with the Troika, although the Parliament still hasn’t agreed on them and no final decision has been made by the IMF or the EU and ECB, it was stressed.
