Famous Greek Reporter Goes Missing

xounta

Since last Friday, Greek Police have been investigating the mysterious disappearance of a famous journalist and wife of a well-known lawyer in Athens.
Last weekend, the lawyer Nikos Mpouras informed the Greek Police of Attica that his wife Thalia Hounta had been missing since Friday noon without giving any signs of life for the 24 hours that followed.
Mr. Mpouras noted: “What has happened is horrible. The first reason I decided to speak in public is to ask if anyone knows anything, please tell me. The second reason is to ask the kidnappers to give a sign and explain some things. I have had no contact with the kidnappers since Friday night when I received a phone call. But even then, they did not give me my wife on the phone to speak with. I don’t even know if she is alright. I have no sign that she’s alive. I am asking the kidnappers to call me and I am asking if anyone has seen or heard anything to contact me or the authorities. The day she went missing she was supposed to take a taxi to go to the port of Piraeus to report. She left at about 8pm.”
Officers of the Homicide Police Department of Attica have evidence to suggest that this is a kidnapping case.
Through the only phone call that Mr. Mpouras received, the kidnappers suggested that he should be careful with a legal battle he is currently working on.
