Greece's Fastest Growing Companies

Euro in Greek flagA study conducted by Infobank Hellastat S.A. lists the 15 Greek companies with the highest growth rate between 2009 and 2012.
According to the study, the success of the companies has been attributed to high export and import activity, continuous research and development of new products and continuous investments in infrastructure and equipment.
Among the 15 companies are seven from the food and drink industry and two plastic producers, the rest being involved in electronic/electrical systems, metals, pharmaceuticals, cigarette manufacturers, paper mills and chemical production.
Infobank Hellastat examined companies with a turnover of at least 50 million euros in 2012 and a net profit before tax of at least 1.5 million euros. Only companies with positive profit before tax for the period between 2009 and 2012 are included on the list.
The study excludes multinational companies and their subsidiaries, as the study was focusing on Greek business activity, and also overlooks businesses providing specialized services such as insurance companies.
