President of the Greek Republic Karolos Papoulias received at Maximos Mansion representatives of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) including its president, Anthony Kouzounis.
Papoulias welcomed them with good news: “Greece and Greek people have achieved what no one thought possible; through great sacrifice we managed to exit the crisis era. According to eminent scientists, Greece is 75%-80% out of the economic crisis. At this point, Greek Finance Minister, Yiannis Stournaras, believes it time to issue Greek bonds on the international markets. This is a great success, borne of the sacrifice of Greek citizens.”
The President thanked AHEPA for their active participation in Greece’s efforts. The organization has encouraged many American businessmen to invest in Greece, and done much to promote tourism.
