Olympiakos Win LEN Trophy in Women's Water Polo

Greek powerhouse Olympiakos is the new LEN Trophy winner in Europe’s second-tier competition in water polo. The women of the Peiraeus-based team won the title for the first time.
The Greek team defeated Firenze 10-9 in the final held in Florence, where the tournament’s final-four was organized.
Olympiacos was ahead for almost the whole game, however Firenze equalized 9-9 three minutes before the end. Australian international Bronwen Knox scored the winning goal for the Peiraeus club just 23 seconds
The LEN Trophy is a second-tier European water polo club competition run by the Ligue Européenne de Natation for those clubs who did not qualify for the LEN Euroleague.
Vouliagmeni and Ethnikos Piraeus are the other two Greek teams to have won the trophy in the past.
