Cleaning Ladies Still Protest Outside Greek Finance Ministry

finance ministryStriking cleaning ladies continue to camp outside the Greek Finance Ministry in their months-long protest at public sector suspensions.
Many cleaning ladies who have been suspended or laid-off in various Greek regions are taking part, and they have stated their determination to continue their protest outside the ministry until they are vindicated.
The cleaning ladies appealed to the Panhellenic Federation of Employees in Public Financial Services for support: “Since September 18 2013, we (the protesting cleaning ladies) have been put under suspension and in a few days, on May 18 2014, we will lose our jobs, we will be laid-off,” they declared in a statement.
They stressed that the next few days will be decisive in regards to their battle, and called on citizens to support their cause.
“We urge citizens, unions, women’s organizations, young people, men of letters, arts and sciences, to join their voices with our own voice, said the announcement.
