From July 24 to 30, the International Film Festival of Patmos will be held for the fourth consecutive year. The Festival is a unique meeting point and a platform of inspiration for artists and filmmakers, which has gradually evolved into an institution in the world of cinema and the island of Patmos.
In order to support new filmmakers, the 4th International Film Festival of Patmos invites screenwriters and directors to take part in the script competition “Fade In,” the main theme of which will be “New Beginning.” The winning script will be made into a short film co-produced by OTE TV and SUGARHIGH FILMS.
The script competition is open to screenwriters and directors who want to submit short films (from 5 to 18 minutes), while the submission deadline is on June 27, 2014.
According to the competition announcement, at the time we live in, we all experience the need for a new beginning, a rebirth. Focusing on the trend of our time and the fact that the contest aims to promote new artists, the theme of the competition is “New Beginning.”
The scripts should be written in Greek or English. The winner will be announced on July 26th and he or she will have the chance to produce the short film which will be shown in next year’s International Film Festival of Patmos.
