Police Believe Xeros Aided By Italian Anarchists; New Plots Planned

Greek police believe seven members of Italian anarchist group Federazione Anarchica Informale (Informal Anarchist Federation, FAI) are collaborating with escaped November 17 member Christodoulos Xeros.
The group last December claimed responsibility for lacing Coca Cola and Nestle products with hydrochloric acid, prompting product the drinks to be recalled from the Greek market. Police believe the group is hiding the fugitive Xeros and aiding him in plotting new terror attacks across the country.
Greek police have come to the conclusion that the Itea parcel bomb sent last month to a police station in Itea, central Greece, by Xeros, was made in a house shown in a picture published by the FAI members. The same house was also where Xeros taped his proclamation following his failure to return to prison after being granted a furlough last January.
It is believed that Xeros learned how to build parcel bombs while in prison, and practiced his newly acquired skills on Itea police, before executing a major hit against financial targets associated with Greece’s bailout program and the memoranda.
Possible Xeros – Maziotis Cooperation
Meanwhile, Revolutionary Struggle militant Nikos Maziotis – also fugitive – seems to be also working along with Xeros, trying to revive the urban guerrilla scene in Greece while plotting hits such as the car explosion in downtown Athens.
According to the analysts at the police counter-terrorism unit, Maziotis carefully selects the date, time, location and the material used in his terror plots, so as to create special symbolisms. Police belief the forthcoming elections could become a target, without, however, knowing whether the target will be financial, political, associated with the Troika, the eurozone or with figures that have been linked to Greece’s austerity and bailout policy.
