The successful Greek creative group Mousegraphics won Best of Show award for packaging design in the Dieline awards.
The Dieline Awards is a worldwide competition exclusively on the art of brand packaging and winning one of its coveted awards is a top distinction for every designer. This year’s ceremony was held in Massachusetts, in the U.S. and was attended by some 1,000 professionals of the field of packaging.
The Athens-based creative group was founded in 1984 by Grigoris Tsaknakis and has a long and successful history in designing and a very talented creative team. Their packages for the Greek food company Harmonian received the highest scoring among the juries and won.
“Our client asked for an aura of exclusivity which should nevertheless be rooted in elegance and measured values. We had to address a wide range of products including olive oil, flour, pasta, herb infusions, fleur de sel, etc. Many of them are based on the Triticum Dicoccum variety of wheat seeds, one of the earliest domesticated, dual core crops in the ancient world. We opted for a design which would convey the dual nature of these valuable seeds as well the harmony and balance, the mathematical perfection of the spindle shape, which these seeds recall. We also decided to do so through a strong visual statement regarding space and matter,” said the creative group about their cooperation with Harmonian company.
The Mousegraphics group also won the 3rd packaging award on this year’s competition for their package of the BAU building material.
Its creative team consisting of seven designers, an illustrator, a photographer, a creative strategist and an office manager has cooperated with major Greek and foreign brands and has won several awards and distinctions in the design sector.
