Greek investors and Chinese real estate companies are gearing up to build the Greek China Town next to Athens International Airport. A new property of 120 hectares will be added to the city plan, paving the way for large-scale investments.
Representatives of a large real estate company from China who recently visited Greece have expressed their interest in purchasing a large piece of land in Markopoulos, Athens. They plan on building a China Town in Athens, Greece, where Chinese people who love Greece will have the opportunity to buy houses to pass their holidays.
According to the local municipality of Markopoulos, it is an area of approximately 10 hectares which will be added to the city plan in 6-8 months, paving the way for investments in the surrounding area.
Mayor Sotiris Methenitis sees this as a huge opportunity to create a large residential project that will change the area.
