World Naked Bike Ride in Thessaloniki

bikeThe 7th World Naked Bike Ride took place in Thessaloniki on June 6, and over 2,000 naked cyclists participated.
With the dress code motto “bare as you dare” the participants met and rode together to deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world and to celebrate the environment and the human body.
The 7th World Naked Bike Ride organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki aims to put an end to indecent exposure of the planet as well as pollution and violence.
Starting the event at YMCA square, the participants promote the bicycle as an alternative way of transportation, encouraging freedom of expression and putting a stop to the incrimination of the naked body.
The World Naked Bike Ride is an international event in which more than 70 cities around the world take part. Thessaloniki has been hosting the event since 2008, with a significant increase in the number of cyclists participating every year.
