Consumer Goods and Services More Expensive in Greece

According to a survey conducted by the European Statistical Authority, Eurostat, consumer goods and services price levels in Greece are more expensive than the EU28 average.
Prices in Greece correspond to the 102 percent of the European average level. Norway and Denmark are on top of the list with 177 and 140 percent respectively. Sweden was next, with a 125 percent increase compared to EU28 average.
Greece showed a rise in price levels of electronic goods to a correspondent 103 percent when compared with the EU28 average.
However, in the hospitality sector prices are lower with Hotel and restaurant prices at 88 percent of the EU28 average.
