World Cup: Greece’s lineup against Costa Rica (video)

Greece's players celebrating.
Greece’s National Team trained for the last time in Aracaju, Brazil on Friday, ahead of its next challenge tomorrow night.  Coach Fernando Santos revealed the lineup of the Greek team ahead of the game against Costa Rica.
Orestis Karnezis, Greece’s goalkeeper, seems to have recovered from his small injury and will start the game.
In defense, the Portuguese manager is not expected to make any changes, which means that the quartet of Vasilis Torosidis, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Kostas Manolas and Jose Holevas will remain, as in the two previous games.
Andreas Samaris is the chosen one to take the place of Panagiotis Kone, who got injured during the game against Ivory Coast last week. The 25-years-old Olympiakos’ player scored Greece’s first goal in the previous game and overall pleased coach Fernando Santos. Yannis Maniatis and Giorgos Karagounis will be lining up in the midfield, as Kostas Katsouranis is expected to stay on the bench.
Star man, Giorgos Samaras, who scored the winning goal against Ivory Coast, experienced Dimitris Salpigidis and promising Lazaros Christodoulopoulos of Bologna will make up the triplet in Greece’s attack.
Just after the training session, Greece’s defender, Kostas Manolas spoke to the media and said “Ivory Coast has very important players and is a tougher team to beat than Costa Rica. The Central-Americans have made a great appearance in the World Cup and have successfully eliminated Italy and England. We are 100% ready  for tomorrow and our only aim is to qualify”.
The game against Costa Rica will kick off at 4 pm EST (11 pm Greek time). The winner will advance to the last 8 of the World Cup. Once more, GreekReporter will be live blogging.
