Fulham FC Continues With Mitroglou, Abidal Signs for Olympiacos (video)

Former Barcelona star, Eric Abidal signs for Olympiakosc
Former Barcelona defender, Eric Abidal has signed for one year with Greek champions Olympiacos. Abidal, who played for Barcelona for six years from 2007, was first diagnosed with a liver tumor in March 2011 and a year later underwent a transplant. The former Lille and Lyon player says he has fully recovered and he successfully completed medical checks with Olympiacos on Saturday.
The 34-year-old Frenchman joined Monaco in July last year after Barcelona chose not to renew his contract. He won the last of his 67 caps for the French National Team in February 2012 before undergoing the liver transplant that kept him away from playing soccer for almost a year.
Meanwhile, former Olympiacos striker, Kostas Mitroglou seems that he may remain with Fulham FC for another season. The London’s side manager, Felix Magath said he is waiting for Mitroglou to join the team and to help Fulham return to the Premier League. Turkish club, Besiktas sniff around the 26-year-old Greek, but the Turks will need to put their hands deep in their pockets since Fulham paid $16 million to acquire Mitroglou. Therefore, the “Cottagers” will ask a significant amount for a return on their considerable investment, but it’s hard to find a team that will pay close to $16 million for a player who is not in his best form.
