Golden Dawn MP Nikos Michos has been placed under house arrest after a dispute between the prosecutor and the investigating judges, concerning whether he should be placed under house arrest or taken into custody.
The Golden Dawn MP appeared today, July 9, at the investigating judges’ office in order to make his plea for the offense of aggravated weapon possession in order to supply a criminal organization.
However, there was a difference of opinions between the prosecutor who requested that Michos should be placed under house arrest, while the two investigating judges suggested pre-trial detention.
After the dispute, the fate of Golden Dawn’s MP lays in the hands of the judicial council which will hold a meeting within the next few days. Until then, Michos is placed under house arrest.
