Price Ceiling for Products Sold in Beaches

beach -coffeeAccording to a statement by the Deputy Minister of Development, Gerasimos Giakoumatos, the Greek government is planning to impose a price ceiling on  products sold in organized beaches with admission fee. Products such as bottled water, sandwiches, coffee and tea will have a price limit.
The decision will be published in the Government Gazette and is expected to come into effect in the coming days. A price ceiling has  already been imposed on the prices of sandwiches and drinks offered in restaurants and bars at airports, ships, stadiums, archaeological sites, cinemas and theatres in Greece.
Offenders will have to pay strict fines : 1,000 euros for not having a price list, 500 euros if they sell the specified goods at higher prices, and 500 euros if they do not offer specific drinks and snacks to the customers. In case of repeated violation of the regulation, fines will be doubled.
The price ceilings apply to the following products:
Bottled water of 500ml (0,35 €)
Bottled water of 700ml (0,50 €)
Toast with ham and cheese (1,35 €)
Sandwich with ham and cheese (1,35 €)
Toast with cheese (1,15 €)
Sandwich with cheese (1,15 €)
Singe Greek coffee (1,20 €)
Single filter coffee (1,20 €)
Single espresso (1,35 €)
Single instant coffee (1,20 €)
Tea (1,20 €)
