Seventy Greek language teachers from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Georgia have arrived in Thessaloniki as part of a pilot training program for educators from countries of the former Soviet Union.
The Greek Diaspora teachers had the opportunity to learn about the activities and work of the Ministry of Macedonia and Thrace during a tour of the premises.
“The expatriates act as a bridge to the rest of the world as they teach the Greek language and spread the spirit of Hellenism in the countries where they live,” said Minister of Macedonia and Thrace, Georgios Orfanos, who hosted a dinner in honor of the Greek Diaspora teachers.
