5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Western Greece

Nafpaktos_EarthquakeA 5.3 magnitude earthquake shook western Greece on Sunday.
The earthquake’s epicenter was in the region of Nafpaktos and occurred at a depth of 20 kilometers, according to reports from Focus news agency.
With a population over 18,000, Nafpaktos is situated on a bay on the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth.
According to reports from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, several earthquakes were registered last night in Greece.
A 4 magnitude earthquake occurred at 4:13 am local time on Sunday, 15 kilometers northeast of Patras at a depth of 10 kilometers.
At 4:43 am, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Greek island of Crete at a depth of 5 kilometers.
