Nineteen people were injured after the ceiling of a bar in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, collapsed at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to newsit.gr.
The ceiling collapsed for unknown reasons, terrifying the dozens of customers who were inside the bar and injuring 19 of them.
Ambulances and fire trucks rushed to the scene at Eleftherias Square where the bar is located. While initial reports spoke of 10 people injured, the director of Papanikolaou General Hospital stated that 10 people were transferred there for treatment, while nine more went to the hospital on their own.
Two of the injured will remain in the hospital for further treatment while the rest of them will be discharged today.
