Lufthansa on Thursday announced the launch of a new direct flight to Crete this summer, from Munich to the Cretan city of Iraklio, once a week on Saturday from May 23, 2015. It will also add two additional flights from Munich to Athens, increasing the total number of flights to 23 per week. The airline will operate 21 flights a week between Athens and Frankfurt in the summer of 2015.
The Lufthansa Group, which includes Swiss Air, Australian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Germanwings, will operate a total 158 flights to Greece from various airports in that period.
