'I Fear that Our Troubles do not End with the Election Result,' ESEE Head Korkidis says

KorkidisThe business world is asking the new Greek government for a comprehensive development program, which will aim, among others, to boost liquidity, adopt a stable tax system, enhance the extrovertness and competitiveness of Greek businesses and of course support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the head of the Greek commerce confederation ESEE Vassilis Korkidis said.
Korkidis underlined that the upcoming elections should mark the end of the austerity period and the smooth exit from the memoranda, always within the European framework, taking advantage of the positive changes taking place in the eurozone, such as the ELA program.
“I do not know what government formation will occur, either a coalition government or a government with parliamentary majority, who will govern after the elections and how, but I fear that our troubles do not end with the election result, as the difficulties and deadlocks are always discovered after the taking over of power,” he stressed and added: “What I do know is that the new government will be aware of the fact that Greeks cannot tolerate any new adventures.”
Korkidis underlined that after so many sacrifices, Greeks should not undergo another experiment of frivolous political treatment, neither should they concede to their bad economic fate.
