Travelling in Space from the Greek Capital

spaceexpo
A pleasant surprise awaits Greek citizens passing through Syntagma Square in downtown Athens, Greece . A white dome has been set up as part of the European Space Expo, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of space applications in everyday life. The expo will last until April 5.
European Space Expo is a traveling exhibition organized by the European Commission. It is a free interactive exhibition that illustrates the services and applications derived from the major European space program in the domains of satellite navigation (Galileo and Egnos) and Earth observation (Copernicus).
The Expo is showing how space and its applications provide benefits to Europe’s citizens and highlights the critical role of the European Union in space and space-based technologies. These many technologies and services are expected to create global market opportunities and help support job creations and economic growth.
This year will mark the first time the exhibition has travelled to Greece. The tours last around 30 minutes, they are free of charge and adjusted depending on the visitors’ age.
