German TV Program Shows Affection Toward Greece in Yet Another Skit [Video]

The German popular TV show “Die Anstalt” aired yet another skit on the Greek crisis and the creditors’ or the so-called “troika” demands. This time, though, the ancient Greek god Zeus was also participating in the clever sketch, along with the three technocrats and a Greek tavern owner.
The show aired on German public broadcaster ZDF and started with three men representing Greece ’s creditors arguing with Zeus over the country’s overspending. Through very logical arguments with biting satirical overtones, the sketch showed how unfeasible some of the creditors’ requirements are for restoring the Greek economy, while it also demolished some of the stereotypes following Greeks.
Later on “Die Anstalt” hosts explain how Germany has benefited from the crisis, while stressing that the so-called “assistance” is nothing more than loans that will be paid back. “Germany earned money from the crisis. The German economy has never been in better shape. We earned 80 billion euros,” the hosts said among other things
