Olympiakos clinched its 42nd Greek league title — and 17th in the last 19 seasons — with three rounds to spare Sunday.
Olympiakos had secured the title even before beating Levadiakos 4-0, when Panathinaikos lost 2-1 (video) at Panthrakikos earlier.
In a festive atmosphere in Piraeus’ Karaiskakis Stadium, Levadiakos had the better start, but lost goalkeeper Michalis Sifakis in the 25th minute to a red card for a handball outside his area. Alejandro Dominguez scored twice, in the 44th and 60th minutes while Jorge Benitez and Costas Fortounis added a goal apiece.
