European leaders
and the Eurozone finance minister have been discussing Greeceā€™s crisis and for the possible solution for a long time. At the moment, the country is gradually running out of money, while the Greek government is struggling to reach an agreement with its partners.
BBC has released a 90 second video explaining the situation. ā€œEurozone finance ministers and leaders are continuing their protracted discussions about the Greek bailout deal,ā€ wrote the British news agency.
Greeceā€™s European partners are waiting to hand over 7.2 billion euros in loans, but only after the Greek government agrees to make more reforms that will — according to the partners — take the countryā€™s economy out of the red. The reforms include an increase in taxes, cuts in expenditures, cuts in public sector jobs, salaries, pensions and healthcare. However, the Greek people have already suffered due to the cuts that were part of the previous bailout programs.
ā€œAlexis Tsipras’s Syriza party was voted in on its pledge to undo some of the deeply unpopular austerity policies of the previous administration,ā€ wrote BBC. Will the Greeks agree to their partnersā€™ terms?
