Crete Sways to the Rhythm of Swinging

Dozens of couples are scheduled to arrive in Crete over the next couple of days in order to participate in a swinging event, organized by one of the most popular swingers clubs in Europe.
Starting this Tuesday until early May, the region of Stalida will be filled with swingers, couples who exchange partners. Swing is the new fashion trend in sex tourism that has spread across the globe, and according to experts, is quickly gaining ground in Greece.
They are usually high income tourists from Europe, America, Saudi Arabia. There are even some couples from Greece, said a hotel owner with vast knowledge on the subject.
The couples will travel to Crete in order to have a wonderful week-long holiday, explore the beautiful island and participate in partner exchange on which they have invested a lot of money. Crete was selected by SDC travel agency to celebrate the club’s 15th anniversary and the event has already been sold out.
The whole trip costs approximately 1,000 euros per person and the customers appear quite demanding. They have requested “specific services,” while they also demanded that the hotel sets up mattresses in several areas such as the nightclub.
Furthermore, the club wishes for everything to stay under control, therefore they have arranged for 40 staff members who will be in charge of providing their services and monitor the event.
Swinging, also known as wife swapping or partner swapping, is a non-monogamous behavior in which both singles and partners in a committed relationship engage in sexual activities with others as a recreational or social activity.
The phenomenon of swinging, or at least its wider discussion and practice, is regarded by some as arising from the free attitude to sexual activity after the 1960s sexual revolution, the invention and availability of the contraceptive pill and the emergence of treatments for many of the sexually transmitted diseases that were known at that time.
