Greece still has a long road ahead, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said in an interview on Saturday, but ruled out a bankruptcy at this point.
Even if Greece has not detailed its proposals for reforms, “we are on the right path,” Juncker told Rheinische Post daily.
He reiterated that Greece “is and remains a part of the eurozone” but it must keep its commitments to the Eurogroup.
“It must also follow a viable and trustworthy fiscal policy,” he said, noting that “if [SYRIZA] campaign promises are to be kept, they must be fundable as well.”
