Greek Govt Rejects Institutions' Plan Once Again

Tsipras
Despite the growing pressure to obey to its creditors’ demands, Greece is determined to take a harsh stance toward Europe, and rejected the institutions’ recent proposals on a default-saving loan agreement once again today.
According to an informal briefing from the Greek side on Sunday noon, political parties in Greece do not accept the European plan. This way, the Greek proposal is reinstated with Athens asking the institutions to assess all the points made by the Greek side, making their own observations. It is also disclosed that the country will continue to work hard toward a political convergence.
The Greek government’s informal briefing said: “The Greek side has officially sent the institutions a realistic and viable proposal last Monday regarding the budgetary measures and the structural reforms Greece intends to implement, and the crucial issue of debt sustainability, whose solution is a prerequisite for a sustainable agreement.”
It is also stated that Greece does not put a time limit to the talks with creditors, making clear that it will continue to negotiate under the Greek people’s support. “As long as the Greek people strongly support our country’s negotiation efforts, the Greek government will be able to negotiate with courage and responsibility with our righteous goals becoming more feasible day after day.”
