Tsipras to Discuss 'Greek Stream' and 'BRICS Bank' in Russia

Greek Stream
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will attend a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in Saint Petersburg, Russia, taking part in talks regarding the construction of the “Greek Stream,” an extension of the TurkStream pipeline project that will provide Europe with natural gas, as well Greece’s potential participation in the new Shanghai-based BRICS bank.
So far, BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Turkey, Serbia and FYROM, as well as the European Commission, have not yet revealed their actual standing regarding the TurkStream pipeline.
Anonymous sources claim that the Greek government is planning to pay a small amount of money to the new bank before the crisis-stricken country is able to receive economic aid regarding infrastructure projects, in an effort to secure additional financial sources.
