2 Greek Banks to Accept Deposits as of Thursday

A man comes out of an Eurobank branch in central AthensAs of Thursday, Greeks will be able to make deposits and payments in 289 branches of the National Bank of Greece (NBG) and 174 branches of Eurobank that will operate during the bank holiday.
At the same time, they can deposit cash without an envelope in 677 ATMs, which will be immediately available in another 130 ATMs with an envelope, where the amount will be credited the next business day.
NBG informs individuals and companies that during the period of short-term bank holiday until July 6, 2015, the bank accepts cash deposits.
As of Thursday, July 2, 2015, NBG’s 289-branch network will be operating during the bank holiday for the payment of pensions and will also accept deposits and applications for new debit cards. Payments on deposit accounts abroad will also be made by special orders.
