Greek main opposition New Democracy leader Evangelos Meimarakis stressed on Tuesday the need for shedding light into the Varoufakis case adding that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras should have been aware of such important matters.
“They should have informed us that the Plan B was Greece’s exit from the Eurozone. We thought that Plan B was another plan that would lead to an agreement within the Eurozone,” Meimarakis said.
“We do not vote for the government and the measures; we vote for Greece’s European course. The path of a non-agreement is a disaster, the other way gives us the possibility to fight. We will try to improve the bad agreement that Tsipras has achieved,” he added.
