No More Migrant Suffering in Athens Park

 
Migrants AthensGreek Minister of State for Coordinating Government Operations Alekos Flambouraris convened an emergency meeting of ministers and other officials on Saturday to discuss the worrisome refugee influx that hat has left a great number of people stranded in areas, such as Pedion tou Areos Park in central Athens and Greek border islands.
During the meeting, all possible solutions were thoroughly examined and a concrete action plan was drawn up, the implementation of which is now underway.
The ministers in cooperation with competent bodies decided that the migrants and refugees that have set up camp in one of Athens’s largest parks at Pedion tou Areos will be moved on to proper housing where they will be able to enjoy better living conditions.
Greece has been a passage for immigrants from Syria and East Africa who want to immigrate in the European North.
