Greek State Minister: Election Talk Doesn't Help

pappasTalk of national elections does not help but it might come to that if some party lawmakers withdraw their confidence toward the government, Greek State Minister Nikos Pappas said in an interview to Real News.
“If some of our lawmakers decide to withdraw their confidence toward the Greek government, the rift that was created in the past votes in parliament will unavoidably be turned into a void,” he told the newspaper.
Pappas also said the “scenario of a ‘left interlude’ was proved politically powerless” and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has repeatedly stated he will not participate in a special purpose government.
Asked about SYRIZA’s internal disputes, Pappas said the party has bodies and members that will not allow anyone to be a “party within a party,” adding that all issues will be dealt with at the party congress. “However, holding separate rallies, pursuing the formation of a front against the government, send a message of a separate course.”
In a separate interview to newspaper Avghi, the State Minister also mentioned the legislation on mass media prepared by the government, saying it will “end a deliberately prolonged environment of anarchy in private broadcasting while legally establishing the transition to the digital age.”
