Tsipras: Greece Will Complete the Agreement

tsipras-maksimouGreek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras appeared optimistic on Wednesday afternoon about the agreement he made with international creditors, after meeting with Alternate Infrastructures, Transport and Networks Minister Christos Spirtzis.
“Despite the obstacles that some attempt to set on our way, we will complete this agreement successfully,” he said.
On Tuesday morning, Greece and international creditors agreed to the terms of the new bailout deal. However, the Greek parliament and the Eurozone countries need to ratify the agreement.
Tsipras added that those who wish to see a rearrangement of the Eurozone will not get their wish granted.
“We will prove the Cassandras wrong and we will succeed in the country’s reconstruction,” he said.
During his remarks on Wednesday, the Prime Minister noted that corruption in Greece has grown over the last five years, while arguing that the changes in the two motorways of Ionian Odos and E-65 were agreed to under “hostage” conditions.
The situation is changing, according to Tsipras, who also announced that a new legislation of the Infrastructure Ministry will include eight adjustments that will help establish transparency and combat corruption.
