“We are here today to decide on the implementation of the third support package to Greece,” stated French Finance Minister Michel Sapin upon his arrival to the Eurogroup on Friday.
Sapin underlined that a very important work and preparation from the Greek government and the institutions’ representatives has been done, adding that the decision for the third support program will be an act of solidarity before the responsibility the Greek government showed in the last weeks. “We will examine further details, if needed.”
Moreover, the French Minister said that the discussion for the restructuring of the Greek debt will be held in October because, as he said, it is considered necessary in order to let the Greek economy breathe.
