Speaking in parliament on Thursday, Greek Finance Minister Euclid TsakalotosĀ referred to a series of factors that will restore the credibility to the Greek banking sector.
Tsakalotos urged Greeks to trust the banking system and return their money to the banks. He referred to the government’s mistakes but explained that mistakes are always made during hard negotiations. However, he said, there is a legacy and “I think it helped European social democracy to realize that some things need to change in order toĀ save the Eurozone.”
Regarding the possibility of elections, he underlined: “It will notĀ be the same case as in 2012 because now there is an agreement and there is a framework for the recapitalization of banks.”
