Acropolis Museum Organizes Tango Event Under the Full Moon

[UNVERIFIED CONTENT] This is the full moon in June 2013 or the 2013 Supermoon, as it rises next to the Apteros (Wingless) Nike temple, on the Acropolis of Athens.
The Acropolis Museum will welcome this August’s full moon on Saturday, August 29, with the special “Tango Acropolis” event. The musical journey will last from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm and it will take place at the Acropolis Museum courtyard, which will be turned into a large dance floor to welcome music and dance lovers.
The museum announced that internationally known artists will present choreographed tango routines, while the public will have the opportunity to dance to music provided by Marios Strofalis’ orchestra. The event is held under the auspices of the Argentinian Embassy in cooperation with the Acropolis Museum and admission will be free to everyone.
The museum also noted that it would remain open from 8 am until midnight on August 29 (entrance to the museum is free from 8 pm), giving its visitors the chance to take a tour around the permanent exhibition as well as the temporary exhibition entitled “Samothrace. The mysteries of the Great Gods.” The museum restaurant will also be open during the same hours.
