'Grexit' Included in Oxford Dictionary Online Version

oxford-dictionaryGreece may not have exited the Eurozone, however, the term Grexit, established only a few years ago, has made it into the online Oxford dictionary, along with Brexit (UK’s exit from the European Union) and other English neologisms.
These words were added to oxforddictionaries.com, during the scheduled quarterly update to include neologisms and new slang expressions that have gained ground in the English language.
According to the online dictionary Grexit is “A term for the potential withdrawal of Greece from the Eurozone (the economic region formed by those countries in the European Union that use the euro as their national currency).” Some of the examples used to explain the word are: “renewed fears of a Grexit have been shaking the financial markets” and “some are willing to bet that the Eurozone could withstand the shock of Grexit.”
Furthermore, Brexit is defined as “A term for the potential or hypothetical departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union.”
Apart from the nouns, Grexit and Brexit, the dictionary also included the adjective hangry (from hungry and angry) which describes people who are “bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger.” Manspreading refers to “the practice whereby a man, especially one traveling on public transport, adopts a sitting position with his legs wide apart, in such a way as to encroach on an adjacent seat or seats,” and butt-dialing, an expression used mainly by young people when they accidentally call someone while their phone is in their back pocket.
