Eurogroup President: Bailout Money to Greece Based on Upholding Agreement

dijsselboemEurogroup President and Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem spoke on the future of the Greek bailout amid the September 20 snap election.
Dijsselbloem told the Dutch parliament on Wednesday that the provision to Greece depends upon the country’s implementation of the agreed reforms and measures.
From the initial 26 billion-euro installment, 10 billion are expected to be dispensed soon for the recapitalization of Greek banks, while additional financing to the banks will come following a stress test in the fall.
Dijsselbloem noted that the Greek elections will not cause a delay in the stress test, which, he said, will also illuminate the exact needs of Greece’s banking sector.
